C’est avec regret que nous vous annonçons que des événements inattendus empêcheront Guillermo del Toro d’être présent à Montréal ce jeudi 4 août pour la première de DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK au Festival international de films Fantasia.

M. del Toro est profondément désolé de ne pouvoir être présent et enverra une vidéo d’introduction exclusive pour remplacer sa présentation du film.

    WTF! This blows!

    I bet HALF of the tickets sold for this screening was BECAUSE of his presence, because let’s be frank the movie itself doesn’t look THAT amazing. I think most people bought tickets to actually see Del Toro.

    Oh well, i’ll still be there tomorrow. :(

    It’s not going to be the same without him. i really wasn’T too happy when i had to return my ticket for this movie because i knew i was missing the presence of one of the biggest name in genre cinema, but know i’m not has mad to be missing it, especially since they replace guilermo’s presence with Rider Strong.

    @Martin and Jonathan – Mr. Del Toro really wanted to be at the screening tonight but couldn’t, for reasons he will explain via a video he made for us that will be presented before the film. We are as disappointed as anyone else that we won’t get to spend time with him, but we are really excited about the Canadian Premiere of the film either way, and hope the Fantasia audiences are too!
