This time around, Milly agrees to help a young woman named Haru avenge the murder of her boyfriend, but it’s a decision that will bring her face to face with the former associates of the men who killed her family, and they are just dying to find her.
The HARD REVENGE, MILLY films are among the most violent to spatter across the Fantasia screen in some time, and that’s saying something—imagine KILL BILL crossed with MAD MAX by way of TOKYO GORE POLICE. When it comes to hard-boiled revenge thrillers, it doesn’t get more hard or boiling hot than this. Leading lady Miki Mizuno is spectacular in the fight sequences, having trained in Shorin Kempo since junior high, and she plays her bloodthirsty role with deadpan humour, using severed hands as writing utensils and barbecuing her victims with delight. Yoshihiro Nishimura, the man behind the stomach-turning special effects of MACHINE GIRL and TOKYO GORE POLICE, provides the blood and guts in BLOODY BATTLE. Definitely not for the squeamish!
