Montreal, Thursday June 26th, 2008 Again this year, the Fantasia international film festival is proud to announce the composition of our various juries for our 2008 official competition. Along with the return of our Feature Film Jury and International Short Films Jury, we are pleased to introduce the creation of three new juries for this 2008 edition : First Features Films, Quebec Short Films jury and Quebec DIY (acronym of Do It Yourself, to designate a Quebec independent production).

PRIX SÉQUENCES 2007
For the sixth year in a row, Séquences Magazine joins Fantasia to offer the « Prix Séquences », awarded to their choice for the best film of our 2008 edition. Dominic Bouchard, Pascal Grenier and Ismaël Houdassine will act as members of the jury for this special award.
PRIX LÉCRAN FANTASTIQUE FANTASIA 2008
For the forth year in a row, the « Prix L'Écran Fantastique » award will be given to a feature film produced in the past 48 months and presented within the course of Fantasia. The award consists of a promise of a 4-pages article, to appear in a future edition and of a full page of free advertising at the time of the film launch in theatre or on video in France. L'Écran Fantastique has been published for 38 years, with a 98 000 copies monthly distribution in France, in Spain, in Portugal, in Belgium, in Italy, in Switzerland, in Luxembourg, in Canada (Quebec), Morocco and in Germany.
