Description

After Lee Demarbre's successful Harry Knuckles and Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter films comes Ottawa's own Brett Kelly’s horror-comedy piece, My Dead Girlfriend .

Steve, a teacher (played by Kelly), and Amy (Caitlin Delaney), one of his student, are happily in love and preparing to move in together. When Steve accidentally kills Amy by backing over her with his car, he tries revives her using an old magic-ritual book. When Amy unfortunately returns as a flesh-eating zombie, it takes all of Steve’s energy to keep their neighbours and friends from finding out. All sorts of carnage ensues as she begins to make meals out of Steve's best friends. A romantic horror zombie comedy that tugs at your heart-and eats it!

The Ottawa-born actor and filmmaker has already created a handful of low-budget horror films, including The Feral Man (2002), The Bonesetter (2003), The Bonesetter Returns (2005) and Final Curtain (2005), some of which found cult followings due to their distribution by direct-to-video American imprint Tempe Video.
